Travel related accidents in the UK and worldwide
Road accidents whilst driving your car even if it is not your fault
Whilst you have broken down or making emergency roadside repairs
Whilst travelling by public transport as a fare paying passenger by bus, taxi, train, ferry, ship or plane
If you are knocked off your bicycle by a vehicle
Accidents that may occur whilst getting into or alighting from a vehicle
If you are a passenger in someone else’s car
RAC personal accident insurance will pay out cash benefits in instances of accidental death, permanent disability, hospitalisation and temporary disability as result of a travel related accident both within the UK and abroad.
Accidental Death Benefit
Our accidental death benefit will pay out up to £200,000 as a lump sum payment to help your family stay out of financial difficulty in the event of your death.
Permanent Disability Benefit
If you are left with permanent disabilities as a result of an accident, then RAC's personal accident insurance will pay up to £200,000 in permanent disability allowance to help support you and your loved ones.
RAC's personal accident insurance will pay up to £200 a day for a year in the event that you are admitted to hospital as a result of being involved in an accident.
Temporary Disability Benefit
If you are left with a temporary disability as a result of being involved in an accident, our temporary disability benefit will help you to cover costs such as mortgage payments whilst you are unable to work due to your accident.
There are no exclusions for pre-existing medical conditions and no medical or health questionnaires are required in order to take out a personal accident policy.
