Important Life Insurance information

  • If you phone we can offer information on LV= products only
  • Your cover is fixed when your plan starts, and doesn't change. This means it won't keep up with inflation and is likely to buy less in the future
  • If you stop paying your premiums, you wont get anything back and your cover will end
  • Normally, the lump sum we pay out when you die will go into your estate. Inheritance tax could apply to the part of your estate that's worth more than £325,000 (for tax years 2012/2013 and 2013/2014)

What could the cover be used for?

The cash could be used to help pay off a loan or mortgage or provide a lump sum to help ease the financial worries for your family.

What will I be covered for?

LV= Life Insurance will pay a lump sum payment if you die before the end date or you're diagnosed with a terminal illness. However, if you are diagnosed with a terminal illness, the cover will reduce by 3%.

Can I change my cover?

If you need to change the amount of cover, the end date of your plan, or change the type of cover you have, you'll need to apply for a new plan.
