Default Focus 1.8 Mk1 reverse light problem...

Hi, hopefully someone can help as this is driving me a bit nuts....
The reverse light on my focus isnt working. I have done the following:

Checked fuses (All OK)
Changed bulb for multiple different ones
Changed bulb holder
Changed reverse light switch

I have also checked for a voltage at the reverse light bulb holder. When not in reverse I am getting 0 V, when in reverse I am getting 10 to 12V.

The reverse light still isnt working.....

Any ideas?

Cheers

when u check for voltage u are definitely checking both contacts on the bulb holder for +ve and earth instead of using the bodywork as an earth? earth faults on kights are quite common.
if the voltage is getting to the bulb theres not reason why it shouldnt work unless u have the wrong bulb. there are 2 filament versions of some bulbs such as r380 and r382 this sometimes happens

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the advice on this.
I checked the earth on the bulb holder when getting the voltages. It sounds like a bulb issue, but I have tried quite a few (all single filament). I will try another bulb from a working light to see what happens....
Cheers,
Rob
