Did anyone watch this the other night? I'm glad to see that an RAC patrol won it and he was the best of them.
But, I found it to be a bit silly really. The faults that were put onto the cars in the first test were not 'true' faults - How many peoples cars suddenly have a wire 'appear' connecting the horn to the headlamps? |

I have not seen the program but read some reviews, they were suggesting it was a personality show rather than getting dirty show. Hmm, sounds as though that should be on after the watershed.

I'm afraid that TV programme makers are unable to present these types of documentaries in "real world" situations. They always seem to think unrelated "entertainment value" has to be included; presumably in the mistaken belief that the TV-viewing public has severe limitations as to what they are capable of assimilating on educational and technical levels.
Even the flaming news is dotted with accompanying jingles, as if we need these to prompt us onto the appropriate subject matter. |

Do we have news still? I thought news had been replaced by speculation programs – The contents of the statement to be made tomorrow etc. - The only real time stuff is some over paid fool asking a disaster/crime/war victim, “how do you feel?” All carried out in tabloid language with tabloid level of journalism. All carried out in tabloid language with tabloid level of journalism. E.g. politicians will have to make tough decisions about this and that, hard or even difficult decisions yes but rarely if ever tough, not to claim expenses or wages would be a tough decision.
