Just thought I'd let you know my son-in-law got pulled on the A1 last night in Beds. He got a Rectification Notice for having a blue side light bulb in his bike. He said he got the feeling they were having a 'purge' as there was a car in the same layby with blue LEDs on his washer jets.

Absolutely, and have you noticed how many trucks are displaying blue and green lights to the front these days?

I visited the south coast recently and noticed different coloured washer jet lights, mainly on 4X4s, then I realised what they were. Red/Green Navigation lights. Obviously the local sailing fraternity.

Could I by any chance interest you in an English grammar textbook?
