As to your shouted comment about being anti public transport; I am not anti at all. It just isn't for me, and am expressing a personal opinion, and telling it asI find it!

On the rare occasions we use the bus into town, we have stoped going to the town centre stop which is among many alongside the Citibus bus station.
There are always bvuses arriving, leaving, and stationary with their engines running. You can taste the presence of diesel fumes in the atmosphere. So we walk some distance to the Ariva bus station, where the waiting area is enclosed, under cover, and has automatic doors at the bus points; providing a much cleaner environment. Overall, though, it doesn't significantly reduce the unpleasantness of using the buses.
One other point, which I though to be my imagination until voiced by other oldies. We 'free pass' holders get a grumpy reception from a lot of the drivers. Wonder why?
