I need to replace the outer CV boots on my Renault Clio tomorrow, I know I have the choice of either the universal split type boots (pretty rubbish because they only last about 6 months), or I can get the "stretchy" type.
Having looked through the Haynes manual I am a bit daunted to have to remove the entire driveshaft to fit new boots.
Can someone please give me some advice on the easiest way to do this, am I right in thinking that if I get the "stretchy" type, I wont have to remove the driveshaft ?
I really need to do the job tomorrow because I am back at work on monday and I want to get it done before then, so if there is a nice kind (and possibly hunky) man in my local area who could come and help me do the job I would be VERY grateful LOL
I am in Havant, Hampshire BTW
Any help and advice would be really appreciated.
