    Default Srs

    Hi Everyone

    I am notmuch of a mechanic, a red light with SRS has come on the dashboard of my R Reg Rover 200. hat does this mean?

    The srs light is a warning light for your airbags and seat belts.If it stays on their is possibly a fault with either.

    Had same thing a couple of months back with my freelander and posted it on forum - think under questions - would try and find it but am still having problems with new forum.

    Got useful advice.

    PLEASE TRY AND FIND LINK FIRST AS MAY NOT HAVE RECALLED CORRECTLY.

    Look at your vehicle handbook and check that your seatbelts are working (mine are). See if it gives you a fuse no. and have that tested. Check connectors (under seats in my case) but do NOT have keys in ignition.

    In my case, conclusion is that sensor has gone, but it's going to be a hassle (because of my location and circumstances) to get this sorted soon. This means that my airbag won't work.

    Please check the thread out and don't do anything until you've read it. If you can get to your manufacturer - speak to them.
