    Default P1482 Vauxhall

    Hi got Vauxhall Astra SXi, 16v, got car symbol with spanner through it on dash,did test and cames up with fault 1482, been told this means a fault with "engine blower relay malfuction" any body else had similar problems and what was cure. Thanks

    You've got the answer already from the code.
    The location of the relay depends on the year of your car and if its an Astra G or H.

    Hi its an astra 2003, G type SXi 16v.

    The relays for the radiator fan are in the small fuse box at the back of the engine compartment. Relays numbers 2 and 6 are for the fan.
    Also check the fuses in the other small fuse box next to it. Fuses 4 and 8.
    If these all check out okay, then suspect the control module which is behind the front bumper on the passenger side. You can just about remove it with the bumper in place but easier if you remove it. They are known to fail and not dear from Autovaux, a national Vauxhall motor factor.
