Tough one to say really.Cornwall or Dorset is one idea.France can be done as well if you fancy going abroad. It would only take a few hours to get to Reimes and you have the old race track their to visit.

Your best bet would be to put up google maps and have a look and plan a route that you like the look of.
Its been a while since i have been down that way so its hard to say.
I would probably go A11 onto the M11 then M25.
Then you could go M3 or take the A3 down to Portsmouth and go round the coast to Dorset. If you go the A3 route it would take a while so best to stop in Dorset. If you go M3 you can pick up the A303 which would take you to Exeter then it is A30 to cornwall.
(i would check these directions as i could be wrong)

It depends if you fancy doing some motorway miles to cover the distance.

From sat nav so only rough est.....

    Norwich to Poole
Fastest route,236 miles taking around 4 hours
Avoiding motorways, 259 miles taking around 5hrs 30 mins.

    Norwich to Penzance,Cornwall
Fastest route,430 miles taking 7 hours.
    Avoiding motorways,426 miles taking 8hrs 20mins.

Poole to Penzance comes up as 189 miles taking just under 4 hours on sat nav as a thought.
