    Question Volvo S80 with a T6 engine. V registration 1999

My garage has told me that Fault code is 4864/ (Error code org.:1300) Air flow-/Air mass meter.
    Faulty Signal.

Could there be a wiring fault contributing to the "faulty signal"

    Engine code is B 6294 T

I believe it to be an Ex Police vehicle. Any ideas, please?

    Default

Check the wiring for breaks/bad connectors.
Using the diagnostic tool check the voltage from the sensor when the car is idling hot. Is the reading within limits?
If yes then check at 3,000 rpm. If still okay then probably a bad connection or wiring issue. Check at the ECU too.
If no then suspect the sensor.
