Default Adding drivers to your policy

    Hello,

Stupid question - Can I add someone who has not had his insurance renewed by his broker because of an ongoing dispute to my insurance policy?

If the dispute is with a broker rather than an insurance Co - I can't see why not.

Why not try, but be sure to answer all the questions honestly. If he has been refused by another insurance Co, he may have difficulty.

It depends on the specific wording of the question.

It also depends on the circumstances of the broker policy being in dispute

I would hesitate to add this person without knowing what the dispute was ALL about.

Has the other person got a poor driver record, if so, it's going to cost you?

If they have a problem with a broker, tell them to use another. Your willingness to help could end up with you being unable to get insured as an insurer may see your action as 'fronting'.

Well - it's been a week now with no reply.

I do think some of you are being a bit alarmist. The OP simply wants to add a driver to his policy - a pretty normal thing to do. He is concerned by what he describes as an "ongoing dispute", but we have no idea what it might be.

I guess we will never know.
