    Default Rac not answering complaint

    I have tried to get RAC to respond to a simple issue I had regarding a receipt. I tried to call but couldn't get through so I emailed them and sent letters. nearly 2 months on and all I have had back is a letter saying someone is looking into it.

    Does anyone know of a governing body that you can take your complaint to?

    If you read the RAC complaints procedure here http://www.rac.co.uk/complaints/

    you'll see that there's an escalation path to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

    I apologise for any delay in responding. The records of our Breakdown Customer Care team show that we received your email requesting a receipt on 13 Oct. A letter was sent to you on 28 Oct regarding the matter.
    This morning we have received an email chasing a response, a copy of our previous letter has been emailled to you. I therefore trust the matter has now been resolved?
