Complaints about recent RAC service in Europe.
My husband recently had problems with his car, we have cover with RAC via Nissan's Pan European warranty. Who do I contact to complain about the service from here last week when we had a problem with our X-trail in France?
Had we not been in an area where we have friends we would have been stranded without any hire car, taxi or transport with a car 100km from our accommodation in an Alpine area with poor summer transport links. We had to rely on a friend (who had to take time off work) to take us the 100km to collect the car after being told there were no hire cars within 3 hours of our accommodation. As there are at least 2 airports within that distance, and the large town where the car was, I find this very difficult to believe.
I would complain to Nissan UK, since
1. Your contract is presumably with them, and
2. RAC (and other breakdown companies) will take a complaint from a large corporate customer like Nissan MUCH more seriously than one from an individual customer. Allegedly.
