    Thumbs up Ford DTC Codes.

If Your Engine light illumiate and flashes on your Ford Fiesta or Focus then this may help.

Just found a web site that will give you the DTC codes for ford fiesta's and ford Focus. Put the code in and it tells you the fault Not sure if i can put the web address on this site. If the admin guys will allow me to then i will. If not put your codes in his thread and i will tell you what the code means.

To get the code put your key in the ignition but do not turn it.

Hold the trip meter button for 10 sec's.

Then turn the ignition key to position II Still holding the button.

Release the button when the word test is displayed.

To get the DTC codes slowly press the button and make a note of the code.

Turn the ignition off again and remove the key. Next time you switch on the display will be normal.

    Cheers..

This thread should have been deleted as it is so misleading.
The codes from this method of retrieval are not to be used for normal fault code diagnosis. That is from Ford.

The only way to get reliable and accurate codes is to use a dedicated scanner.

I've found the answer anyway, number 3 spark plug dropped the tip and cone through, completely gone! Lesson learned letting a garage fit Denso's!
The head is being taken off today to see the extent of the damage

Some garages use the latest Snap-On inspection probe for jobs like this. Its a light on a flexy cable and you can attach a magnet to retrieve parts otherwise lost. The image is shown on a small screen on the control box. Cost around 200 but would be ideal for your problem as it might mean head removal is not necessary.
