    Question Renault Clio starting problem

I have had an intermittent fault with my 05 Clio Campus for a while. It has been getting worse. When you turn the key the dash lights up but nothing happens. It doesn't crank. Dealer told me it was reader coil and charged me 175 to replace it. Less than two weeks later it faulted again and is now worse than ever. After another two visits to dealer they initially said there was no fault. They eventually decided it was the computer and would need to be replaced at around 500. I have no confidence they're right. RAC advised me it would start again if I disconnected and reconnected the battery. This does work but can't keep doing it every time the car won't start!! Anyone any ideas? Could it be something else or am I doomed??
