I've just taken out euro-breakdown cover for my trip to France in May; do I also need to take out extra insurance cover for me & the wife? Thanks, Paul

Most policies these days cover you automatically within the EU, but you need to read your policy document (or phone them) to make sure.

Thanks mate - you're dead right: rang RAC & I'm covered (3rd party) for up to 60 days on my policy. They said I won't need a windscreen sticker either (as I've read on some web-sites) just let 'em know day or two before I go.

You should also get travel cover with a bank card under certain conditions.

Cheers all - have done the deed & got cover also added missus to my insurance (price of my cover dropped by £1-55 but they knocked that off the £25 admin charge)
