this is a question I am posting on behalf of my son,his car died on him a couple of nights ago and his dad went to his aid and after fixing jump leads he managed to drive the car home , he had the battery on charge for over 15 hours but when he tried to start the car the following day , he turned the key in the ignition but everything just died the clock went to zero the milage counter went to zero everything nothing would work , does anyone have any answers as to why this has happened?

Sounds like the battery has had it. Use the jump leads to get it going then go to a garage and have a battery and charging check done.
