Hi all, I found the thread: In car camera, best gadget yet: when I Googled for 'In car cameras'. I liked a lot of what was said in the post and there was some very good information but a lot of posts just confirmed that the user's camera was a wise purchase but not what camera it was or the positive or negative points.
To help me and others chose which camera to buy, I would like people to post their camera specs and thoughts here if they already have one similar to this:
Camera Make,Model,Qty: EyeSpy ES1001 1 Cost, Year & Shop: £329 2005 View (Front,Front/Inside): Front/Inside Auto-start: Yes Video Format: MP4 Ratio/Pixel/Quality (HD, good, poor): 1920*1080 5MP HD FPS (Normal,Extreme): 5 24 Viewing angle: 120 Front 170 Inside Low-Light/Night, Quality: Yes Poor Audio: Yes Memory Slot: (Type,min/max Size): Micro SD 8GB 64GB External Memory: (Type,Size): USB Unlimited Internal Memory Only: (Size): No Event Saver: (#s Before,After): Yes 20 10 Manual Event Saver: Yes 30 60 GPS with Google Maps: Yes G force (Inertia X,Y,Z : Yes Vehicle Speed: Yes Time Date Stamp: Yes Camera Size mm (w,h,d): 120 30 60 Video Out Sockets (Type): HDMI Video Jack Other Sockets: USB IR Remote Power Supply: 12/24V PC Software: Yes Power Cable Length (m): 5m Easy Camera (Setup - Use) (Easy,Moderate,Hard): Moderate Easy Easy Software (Setup - Use): Hard Moderate Customer Service (Excellent,Good,Poor,Bad): Excellent Insurance Discount (%,Company,Ease) 5% Budgphant Difficult
Comment: Great piece of kit but wish I brought the something-or-other as this one doesn't do such-and-such. Good thing-a-me-jig feature on this though.
The above is made up from different specs from different cameras so doesn't exist. The website under 'Store' is real however and only put in to show how to do a long website addy in a small text box (Type name first, highlight it then click on 'Earth' symbol with the chain LINK in it then enter address).
I will post an empty one below to copy and paste your reply. I find the easiest way to do this is to highlight and copy the below example, paste it into a new MS Word to fill your info in as Word is easier to move about in and edit mistakes/formats. Then Copy your work, click back on this page and set it to wysiwyg with the first button above and then paste.
Finally, please use the 'Preview Post' feature before posting.
If you have NO information for a row, please leave it blank.
Many thanks to anyone that fills one of these out. I shall try to do a comparison table with any data collected.
