Well I went ahead and did it, drove up North today with one of my brother in laws to look at and buy the Smart Car we saw on Ebay.
Quick test drive, bit of paperwork, handed over the money, then drove home again. Its a great wee thing, and with the cruise control and A/C on just cruised all the way home.
Bloke said that you can fill the tank from empty to full for £25, and that used to last him a month driving back and fore to work, that will do me
Its 5 years old, with 20.000K on the clock, but looks like new, and it wont ever rust either.
You may have seen this already Smudger http://www.evilution.co.uk/614 .
Happy new car.
Thanks for that wagolynn, I will bookmark that page, I did find another Smart car site but it was really quiet, thanks again.
PS. Weird thing here, I cant seem to bookmark that page at all, as it doesn't work, yet it bookmarks every other page I try?

Reason: To add a PS
Did you visit the site Smudger and then select Favorites and Add to Favorites?
Yes I did, and it was the same site I mentioned earlier, but I never knew it had that Technical part to it, where you can post a question and have it answered by a qualified mechanic!
I tried to post a question in that section, but couldn't get passed the anti-spam box part, as it wouldn't let me type in the code it gave
Its the air conditioning, doesn't seem to get cold at all?
Kwik-fit is probably your best bet, Not sure if they are still doing the thing where you only pay if they manage to make it colder.

Ah! MrDanno, Mk2 gave the OK to it, so I bought cash, with the proviso I put my pension payout, which is due this month, back into our hard earned savings
I read up on the A/C in the hand book last night, as got it working OK today. You have to put the blower on full with the air duct on recycled air for a short time, then switch it over to new air intake, and it works
I was in town on a shopping run today, and its a nippy wee thing in traffic, and when its on Semi-Auto its good fun to drive
Keep the door locks well lubed up, Because those cables are very small and can only be bought with the handles.
Aye! I noticed that bloke told the one who posted the question about the door handles, said not to use WD 40, saying that its mainly for cleaning. I will have to get a can of the stuff he mentioned.
Well I've had the car for a while now and been driving it around, and I must say I'm well pleased with it.
Of course being a small car, the suspension is a bit stiffer, just like that Hillman Imp I owned way back in the 70s. That just means I have to take it easier going over seed bumps
The high spec. it has, with the heated leather seats, A/C and cruise control, makes it really comfortable car to be in.
I met another Smart driver in the ASDA car park, and we exchanged waves, which reminded me of the days when a RAC men used to salute to my Dads car when they saw the badge on his radiator grill.
Anyway, it got wondering, how many Smart car owners live here in Fife?
