The Toyota Yaris Hybrid will have very low running costs, the company has confirmed, but will come in at the expensive price of £14,995.
Cover can ensure that a mechanical fault does not run into hundreds of pounds worth of bills. All models will have five-doors and the Yaris is available in T3, T4 and T Spirit trim levels, with the latter costing £16,995.
T4 models will start at £15,895. The CO2 emissions of 79g/km for T3 and T4 models are low, while the minimum 10% benefit-in-kind tax rating and fuel economy of over 80mpg can also be found with the T3 and T4.
The bigger wheels of the T Spirit models means that they are slightly less efficient at 85g/km and 76mpg, but they will have 16-inch alloys, cruise control, automatic headlights and windscreen wipers, a touch-screen media interface and part-leather upholstery among other accessories.
All the models include dual-zone air conditioning, seven airbags, front electric windows and six speakers. T4 models add alloy wheels, privacy glass, a rear-view camera, leather steering wheel and gear knob trim and front fog lamps.
