Drivers will soon be able to get behind the wheel of Volkswagen's eagerly-anticipated new Polo.
First deliveries of the cosmetically and mechanically enhanced supermini are expected in July, with prices starting from £11,100.
A range of new EU6-compliant engines offer fuel efficiency improvements of up to 23% over the previous models, while a host of technological advancements make the new Polo an even safer car to drive.
On board is an Automatic Post-Collision Braking System which stops the vehicle after impact, therefore minimising the chance of a second contact, as well as electronic stability control and Hill Hold.
New optional safety features include a Driver Alert System and adaptive cruise control plus a low speed auto braking function.
Entertainment-wise, Volkswagen's latest touchscreen infotainment system is being introduced across the Polo range. All models come with Bluetooth and USB connectivity as standard. A sat-nav function is also optional on selected models.
The flagship BlueGT model will be priced to £19,715, while a new eco-centric Polo BlueMotion TSI - the first petrol BlueMotion model in Volkswagen's line-up - will be made available towards the end of 2014.
