Vauxhall has premired the new Zafira Tourer with an entry level price of £21,000, against £22,200 of the rival Ford S-Max.
The Zafira Tourer will have a 1.8-litre, 138bhp engine and air conditioning, DAB, cruise control, MP3 connectivity, six airbags, seven speakers, active headrests and Flex7 seating as standard.
The vehicle is designed to be Vauxhall's premier people-mover, with specifications that offer higher levels of luxury, space and equipment.
It is 190mm longer and offers 57mm more wheelbase than its predecessor. Track is up by 96mm and 78mm at the front and the rear respectively.
Users will be able to choose the Zafira with engine options of 1.8-litre, 138bhp petrol unit, a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine, and three variants of the 2.0-litre CDTi from the Insignia. The diesel versions will generate 109bhp, 128bhp and 163bhp.
One of the diesels is an EcoFlex version that emits 119g/km of CO2, that cuts running costs.
