Vauxhall signs FA sponsorship deal

The car manufacturer plans to bring back the home internationals as early as the next season. However, the FA wants to wait until the Euro 2012 is over.

Vauxhall also expects to make other contracts with the national associations of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales over the coming week.

In other news, the FA has confirmed a friendly with England against Ghana at Wembley on March 29, with a planned friendly against Thailand scheduled for June being cancelled.

The meeting with Ghana should prove a tough test for Fabio Capello's side as the Black Stars were the only African side to qualify for the knockout stages at the 2010 World Cup and would have reached the semi-finals had Asamoah Gyan not missed a last-minute extra-time penalty against Uruguay.
