Vauxhall is set to launch a new high-performance version of its Adam model.
The Adam S comes with a turbocharged 1.4-litre engine that turns out 148bhp and 162lb.ft, making it far more powerful than any other Adam model on the market at the moment.
The high-powered Adam S has been fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels, new tyres, a lower suspension and high-spec brakes, as well as coming with its own subtle bodykit. On the inside the leather seats and dashboard have been accented in red.
While the Adam S is currently in concept mode, Vauxhall said it is planning to put the car into production in the near future, meaning that the new model could be in showrooms by the end of 2014.
Vauxhall also unveiled a new 1.0-litre three cylinder engine for the Adam that is aimed at those looking for a highly efficient city car.
