Upgraded Mazda2 to be unveiled

Mazda has announced that an upgraded version of Mazda2 will be unveiled at the Paris Show.

The revised model of the compact hatchback, focusing on low fuel consumption and reduced emissions, will feature a Euro V compliant powertrain line-up, upgraded chassis for improved ride comfort and an automatic gearbox.

The Japanese car maker said that it will also debut the new Mazda5, with a more economical 1.6-litre diesel engine at the show.

The all-new mid-size people carrier comes with a new lightweight six-speed manual transmission.

Joining the revised Mazda2 and new Mazda5 will be Mazda3, which features an upgraded 1.6-litre diesel engine.
