Two people have been arrested in Hampshire over an explosion that damaged three vehicles on a driveway, police have said.
A 56-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman, both from the Eastleigh area, have been held in connection with the incident that occurred in Chadwick Road, Eastleigh, Hampshire, at around 2.40am on Monday.
The Army's explosive ordnance disposal unit attended the scene and cordoned it off as the officers went on with their inquiries, but no one was injured and no homes were evacuated.
Detectives from Hampshire Police denied any possibility of a link with terrorism and said they believe it to be an isolated incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Dick Pearson said: "The area has been searched and no other devices were located.
"We believe this was an isolated incident and there is nothing to suggest this was linked to any act of terrorism.
"The incident is being investigated as a criminal damage offence, recklessly endangering life. I would urge anyone with any information to get in touch with us to assist us with our investigation."
