Despite recent massive recalls, Toyota has continued to be the top car brand in the world, according an international consultant.
Although the Japanese manufacturer managed to retain its position in the market, the firm suffered a decline in value as the series of recalls dented consumer trust in the quality of its cars.
According to statistics released by Interbrand, Toyota witnessed a 16% loss in its value.
The consultancy evaluates brands on the basis of a number of factors including financial strength and influence on consumer purchasing decisions.
