Toyota Land Cruiser gets a facelift

Toyota has given its Land Cruiser 4x4 a makeover and has rung the changes with its specification and prices.

Buyers with at least £34,995 to spend can get their hands on the wheel of one of the Japanese giant's latest 2014 versions, with its altered bumper and grille design. They can also switch between its on and off-road driving systems using a new control panel.

The latest Land Cruiser boasts a more comfortable ride thanks to a new suspension system and the 214g/km of CO2 emissions from its 188bhp 3.0-litre turbodiesel engine meets Euro5 requirements.

For the first time in the UK drivers can use Google Street View via the Land Cruiser's Toyota Touch 2 screen. This provides a high res picture of where they want to go before they ask the sat-nav to work out the directions.

There are three models to choose from; Active, Icon and Invincible, which start from £34,995, £47,495 and £52,495 respectively. All three versions come with alloy wheels.

The Icon adds a third row of seats, automatic wipers and headlamps. It also monitors its own tyre pressures so drivers can guard against any tyre-relatedbreakdowns .
