Ford has scooped a number of motor awards, including the title for car of the year and best supermini for its new Fiesta.
The Ford Mondeo was also named best family car and best estate car at the What Car? awards.
What Car? editor Steve Fowler said: "The Fiesta is the right car at the right time - small in size, but big on ability.
"We love the way it looks and the way it drives, but it also stacks up as a shrewd buy, offering space and quality, while being affordable to buy and run."
John Fleming, Ford of Europe chairman and chief executive, said: "This is tremendous news for the whole Ford team."
Although Jaguar's XF lost its title as car of the year, it was still voted the best executive car for the second year, and for the third year in a row the British-built Mini Cooper S won the best hot hatch award.
Volkswagen also did well on the night, winning three awards - the readers' award for the Golf GTi, best small family car for the new Volkswagen Golf and the best open-top car title for the Volkswagen Eos.
