Research shows more car insurance claims are made in Swansea than any other city in the UK.
According to a poll, the postcode area of SA4 in Swansea produces more claims per head than anywhere else in the UK meaning motorists wanting to avoid losing their no claims bonus should avoid the Welsh city.
Other car insurance "danger zone" include Leyton in east London and Widnes in Cheshire, which both came joint second in the list of the highest number of claims.
Warrington in Cheshire came fourth in the poll, while Hayes in west London fifth.
Research found that 17% of all claims are made by drivers in south-east England while Scotland accounts for just 4% of accident claims
A spokesman for Virgin Money said: "You have been warned. If you see signs for Swansea you should take extra care because our data suggests you are more likely to have to make a car insurance claim following an incident there than in any other place in the country.
"That could mean being involved in an accident, having your car stolen or vandalised or being a victim of theft from within the vehicle."
