Subaru rolls back Impreza prices

Subaru has announced it is cutting the price of its Impreza Turbo to celebrate the model's 15th anniversary.

Prices will match the cost of the original 1994 model, making a 2009 2.5-litre WRX Turbo version of the car just £17,998, a saving of £2,100 on the genuine 2009 price.

The maker of the celebrated four-wheel drive hot-hatch is hailing the deal as the best in its history and says the 1994 price of the 2009 Impreza WRX Turbo offers incredible value for money.

The car also comes with a three-year, 60,000-mile warranty, 12-years anti-corrosion and three-year paintwork cover.

The obvious difference with the 2009 model is its hatchback shape, as opposed to the saloon body of the 1994 original, but the turbocharged engine and four-wheel drive grip remain.

Lawrence Good, managing director Subaru (UK), said: "The Impreza has evolved a great deal over the years, yet has always offered a brilliant blend of practicality and performance."
