Despite economic uncertainty, car buyers are still showing their interest in high-value prestige vehicles, according to vehicle auction company BCA.
A special sale, conducted by BCA on behalf Lex Autolease, recorded strong demand for high-end luxury vehicles.
A 2008 Rolls-Royce Phantom Drop Head Coupe emerged as the star performer, selling for £195,500, while a late 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder E Gear 2 also fetched a good sum, realising £90,000 at 6,000 miles.
Other vehicles in the sale included a Hummer H3 Luxury, Porsche Cayenne V6 Tiptronic S, BMW X6 3.0D X-Drive Steptronic and Bentley Flying Spur W12 Saloon.
Tim Naylor, PR manager at BCA, said: "This was a really positive sale, with a fabulous entry of top drawer vehicles from Lex Autolease.
"With more than 400 buyers attending the sale at our Blackbushe auction centre and competitive bidding throughout, it suggests there is plenty of demand for even the most expensive vehicles despite the continuing economic uncertainty."
