Only 29 of the new special edition Peugeot 208 GTi will be made available to drivers in the UK.
The cars will be individually numbered from 01 to 29 and come equipped with 17" 'Carbon' Onyx Black Alloy wheels. The number of cars released matches the number of years since the 205 GTi was launched here.
Production of the 208 GTi will be limited to 54 cars worldwide. The French manufacturer will also install a Union Jack flag on the vehicle's lower grill as a nod to the reputation of the GTi badge in the UK.
As well as an exclusive satin pearlescent white paint job, buyers can expect a higher specification than the standard model. Accessories include a DAB radio, sat-nav and UK-centric graphics.
The £20,495 price tag will probably not deter too many GTi enthusiasts, but they will undoubtedly have to move quickly to secure what will an extremely in-demand limited edition.
