Skoda has driven off with a collection of accolades from the Caravan Club awards, including the prestigious title of Tow Car of the Year for the Skoda Superb Estate.
The Superb beat off competition from 40 other entrants, including Range Rover and Jaguar. Commenting on the car's ability the judges said: "With a loading limit of 100kg on the roof, 80kg on the towball and a boot that scored maximum marks, it's a very tough act to follow. You wouldn't know you were towing a caravan."
Skoda also picked up the prize in the £16,000-£20,000 category, where the Octavia 1.2 TSI was praised for its pulling power for such a small engine. Like the Superb, the Octavia is available in Skoda forecourts now with finance andcar insurance deals available.
In announcing the winners, the Caravan Club Chairman, Grenville Chamberlain, added his congratulations while also offering further acclaim to the Skoda Superb, which he showered with praise, claiming it "just about as good as it gets".
Alasdair Stewart, Brand Director for Skoda UK added: "We're delighted to receive these important awards from the Caravan Club. At Skoda, we're always working hard to meet the needs of caravan owners and understand the unique requirements that go into making a great towcar."
