The 2012 Goodwood Revival will see the return of the world-famous Silver Arrows Mercedes-Benz cars, 75 years after their first appearance at the race track.
The event, which takes place from September 14 to September 16, will see the Mercedes-Benz and Auto Union Grand Prix cars driven around at race speeds by some of the top names in motorsport. The legendary vehicles on show include the Mercedes-Benz W25, W125, W154 and W165, plus the iconic Auto Union Type C and Type D racing cars.
Goodwood organisers say that the event promises to be one of the most spectacular and historic vehicle demonstrations of all time. The Silver Arrow racers will line up against some of their biggest rivals from the past, including examples of ERA, Maserati, Riley, Bugatti and MG.
As a result, the renowned Goodwood track will see some of the best preserved classic cars still in working operation.
