Visitors to next month's British International Motor Show will be among the first to see the global debuts of more than 20 new cars.
The high number of motor industry unveilings underlines the rising profile of the event, which saw just 13 vehicles take their first steps into the global limelight in 2006.
Enthusiasts and industry insiders will be looking forward to catching sight of Lotus mid-engined 2+2 sports car - the 'Project Eagle', the firm's first all-new model for 12 years.
Another show stopper is expected to be Vauxhall's Insignia, which is expected to carry the firm's fleet and family baton by building on established strengths of quality, refinement and design.
Ford's super-hot Focus RS - the fastest and most dynamically advanced Focus yet, Toyota's 200bhp Aygo Crazy concept car, and the 200mph Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed will also be competing for attention.
The industry's moves towards greener models will be represented by the Ford Fiesta ECOnetic, which emits less than 100 g/km of CO2, an all-electric two-seater and an MPV from London's NICE Car Company.
As well the 20 world firsts, another 30 will their UK debuts, including some exhilarating sports cars and a number of futuristic concept vehicles.
The full list of global debuts will be published at the Show, as some premieres are still to be officially announced by car makers.
