Rise in Toyota Land Cruiser sales

Japanese carmaker Toyota has recorded a year-on-year increase in the sales of its Land Cruiser and Land Cruiser V8 models.

While Land Cruiser saw a 77% rise in its sales, Land Cruiser V8 enjoyed a whopping 120% hike.

Well-known for its toughness and reliability, Land Cruiser is suitable for extreme weather conditions including ice and snow.

The first Land Cruiser was developed in 1951, and since then Toyota has sold over six million models.

The model is built in nine plants over five countries, while it is driven in more than 140 territories.

For UK customers the Land Cruiser is available in three versions, powered by a 3.0-litre D-4D diesel engine with five-speed automatic transmission.

The models come with features including Multi-Terrain Select system, Crawl Control and Multi-Terrain Monitors. These functionalities ensure safety and a smooth driving experience.

Meanwhile, the Land Cruiser V8 is equipped with the company's most powerful diesel engine - the 4.5-litre D-4D - which provides 282bhp through a six-speed automatic transmission.

The model sports four-wheel Active height Control and Adaptive Variable Suspension.
