Renault has announced plans to extend its warranty scheme to three year or 100,000 miles for all its models from next month.
Currently, most of the Renault cars come with warranty protection, providing worry-free motoring for three years or 60,000 miles.
The French carmaker intends to improve the quality of its cars and customer satisfaction with a series of new commitments.
The plan of extended warranty for the vehicles is the first step and is designed to provide customers with ongoing protection from mechanical andelectrical failure.
According to the car manufacturing firm, its models have been steadily climbing the ranks of the various consumer feedback surveys and it aims for further improvement with its "five year plan".
In the Which? Car Survey 2011, four Renault models were ranked in the top five spots in their respective classes for reliability.
"Renault's drive to improve quality seems to be paying dividends, as reliability is much improved," the magazine said.
