Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon has suffered minor injuries after being hit by a car while jogging.
The Walk The Line star was jogging in an unmarked crosswalk in Santa Monica, California, when an 84-year-old woman driver struck her.
Witherspoon, 35, was taken to a local hospital where she was treated for minor injuries.
The car was travelling at around 20 miles per hour at the time of the incident. The driver was cited for failure to stop for a pedestrian and was released.
Witherspoon's representative later confirmed that the actress was not seriously injured and was resting comfortably at her residence.
The insider also revealed that Witherspoon has no further plans to press charges against the motorist who hit her with her car.
