Racers tackle pitch black stunts

Four of the most skilled drivers in the world recently put themselves on the line on a pitch black racetrack.

Ken Block was one member of the quartet taking part in a four-car stunt relay called Blackout.

Racing drivers Mike Rockenfeller, Augusto Farfus and Adrian Zaugg were the other big names to participate.

Together they navigated the pitch black four-stage indoor course, using the head lights on their vehicles to light the way.

With Block in his Ford Fiesta ST RX43, and the others behind the wheels of an Audi R8, Lamborghini Aventador and BMW M4, there were plenty of drifts, jumps and donuts as they raced around the arena.

A number of light obstacles, including a laser tunnel, laser drift, laser box and slalom, made the challenge even harder.

It is the first in a series of 'Titanium Trials' to coincide with lubricant brand Castrol's launch of a new Edge engine oil featuring titanium technology.
