Details have emerged of Peugeot's new medium-size estate due to go on sale in June.
The 308 SW promises the same level of standard equipment as its popular predecessor, the 308 hatchback, in addition to Peugeot's new approach to exterior design.
The car's pricing and specification builds on the product values that earned the 308 the title of European Car of the Year for 2014, the firm said.
It comes with budget-conscious petrol and diesel engines. The entry-level 110 horsepower 1.2-litre petrol model will set people back £16,895. Stop-start technology, which automatically shuts down and restarts the internal combustion engine to reduce fuel consumption and emissions, will be added to selected engines.
The boot measures 660 litres, or 1,660 litres with the seats folded, and the basic standard kit includes a DAB digital radio, USB connection and Bluetooth connectivity, plus LED daylight running lights.
