Arsenal's record signing Mesut Ozil is said to have been quizzed by police officers after his car allegedly struck a photographer in a North London street.
According to a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police, its officers were informed of an alleged collision between a vehicle and a member of the public in Sheldon Avenue N6 at around 7.18pm on Friday.
He said a man in his 30s was found with minor injuries and officers spoke to the driver of the vehicle they suspected was involved.
Inquiries into the alleged incident in Highgate are continuing and no one has been arrested, the spokesman said.
Ozil, a German international midfielder, joined Arsenal from Real Madrid for a club-record fee of £42.5 million in the summer transfer window.
He began the season well as Arsenal topped the Premier League table but has been criticised for his performances in the last few weeks.
