More information about which roads will be closed during the Olympics has been released.
Events including the triathlon, marathon and race walking will result in roads being closed for seven days during the Games and for one day of the Paralympics.
Areas which will be impacted include Westminster, City of London, Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kingston upon Thames, Wandsworth and Richmond upon Thames and parts of Surrey.
Some bus stops, pedestrian crossings and right turns will be suspended on roads including London's Euston Road, City Road and Commercial Street.
Most of the closures will take place during the weekends, with some of the events being completed in a few hours.
A publicity campaign is being launched by Transport for London (TfL) to inform residents and businesses how they may be affected by planned road closures and parking restrictions.
Leon Daniels, from TfL, said: "Drivers are urged to avoid these travel hotspot areas if at all possible, or if journeys are absolutely essential to plan ahead and allow more time."
