Nissan has announced that it will be hiring 200 new engineers and maintenance technicians at its Sunderland plant.
As part of its latest recruitment campaign, the automaker has set up a website with details of all the new jobs on offer, information about the plant, and a section on the benefits of living and working in Sunderland and North East England.
Kevin Fitzpatrick, vice president for manufacturing in the UK, said: "These new recruits will play a key role not only in maintaining our record production levels, but in making sure that our battery plant and future new models are introduced successfully."
Currently, 5,000 people are working at the Sunderland plant.Nissan's two new models - the Leaf and the next generation Qashqai - are being manufactured at the facility.
