Subaru has released price details for the new Forester SUV, which will cost from £24,995 on the road when it goes on sale in May.
That is the starting price for the 2.0D X, but it rises to £30,995 for the top-of-the-range 2.0i XT.
Subaru says the new Forester takes things further from previous models with enhanced performance, safety and efficiency as well as a more roomy, and better equipped, cabin.
The car maker's unique Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system remains in place while the drive is said to be more engaging thanks to a more rigid body with a low centre of gravity.
With motorists increasingly looking to cut the cost of motoring in the current climate by saving on outgoings such ascar insurance and fuel costs, potential buyers may be pleased to hear all engines in the range boast significantly improved fuel economy and CO2 figures over the previous model.
Drivers have a choice of 2.0-litre Boxer diesel and petrol units, while this time around there is also the option of a 2.0-litre direct injection turbocharged petrol engine, producing 240ps.
