Details of the new Renault Clio, the fourth generation of the car, have been revealed.
The long-awaited addition to the range will be the most efficient yet, with an 'Eco mode' button that automatically optimises the vehicle's systems and minimises fuel use simply through functions like turning down air conditioning.
Drivers will also be able to maximise mileage and although only the five-door models will come to the UK, the Clio will have new engines, in this case the 900cc, 89bhp TCe 90 three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine.
The other petrol Clio will house a four-cylinder 118bhp 1.2 turbo, linked to Renault's EDC (Efficient Dual Clutch) transmission. Meanwhile, a 1.5-litre dCi 90 diesel will also be made available.
Showcasing Renault's new 'brand identity', the new Clio will also be the lightest ever, having shed an average of 100kg per model.
