New model joins young driver scheme

A new model has been added to Peugeot's Just Add Fuel finance scheme, which helps younger buyers afford a well-maintained new car.

The 208 VTi 1.0 68PS, which is new to the scheme and the most affordable model in the 208 range, contains an efficient three-cylinder petrol engine and is capable of returning fuel economy above 65 mpg. Emitting only 99g/km of CO2, the model is also exempt from road tax and the London congestion charge.

Covering drivers for servicing, road tax if necessary, car insurance , roadside assistance and more if needed, the system means that buyers are able to regularly maintain their cars without facing extra costs.

A single monthly payment simply covers the entire bill which spreads the cost over the life of the finance agreement.

Director of sales at Peugeot, Neil Moscrop, said: "The Just Add Fuel scheme allows young drivers the opportunity to buy a brand new Peugeot and to eliminate the worry of major costs such as servicing and insurance in one single fixed monthly payment."

The announcement of the new addition comes as the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders released news that young drivers deliberately avoid having their cars serviced to save money.
