New Giulietta engine to cut costs

Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo has introduced a new second-generation engine for its Giulietta range of five-door hatchback cars.

The MultiJet diesel engine, 2.0 JTDM-2 140bhp, boasts low carbon emissions of 119 g/km and reduced fuel consumption of 62.8mpg in the combined cycle.

Car drivers will be required to pay only £90 a month in company car tax for the Lusso trim version.

In addition to that, the Giullietta boosted by the new engine requires low maintenance and can go 21,000 miles without servicing.

The engine, which develops 140bhp in normal mode, promises to cut running costs of the hatchback models.
