Mercedes has pulled the wraps off its most powerful C-Class model ever.
The manufacturer's racing heritage is clearly reflected in the new 2012 Mercedes C 63 AMG Black Series coupe.
Fitted with a 6.3 litre V8 engine that delivers a massive 510 bhp, the new C-Class looks equally at home on the road as it does on the race track.
The V8 also puts out 457lb/ft of torque - nearly double the amount for an average diesel hatchback.
It was unveiled, quite fittingly, at the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring at the weekend.
AMG has crafted the engine, suspension, brakes and badges on the new model, which is the fourth addition to the elite Black Series which was introduced by Mercedes in 2006.
A price tag for the luxury coupe has not been officially announced yet, but it is sure to reflect the C 63's impressive specs.
